Quito’s Botanical Garden - Jardín Botánico de Quito

Handy craft market - Mercado Artesanal
It is a colorful and fun place to shop with about a hundred stalls selling a huge range of Ecuadorian crafts. You can find everything from textiles, panama hats (that are Ecuadorian by the way), jewelry, shoes, chocolates, and more. Be aware that bargain is a common practice here. Chapel of Mankind Museum – La Capilla del Hombre
La Capilla del Hombre exhibits part of Oswaldo Guayasamin`s master pieces. It is a tribute to the pre-Columbian natives. Themes such as exploitation, pain, anger, tenderness, protest, dreams, sacrifice, and victory are themes of the pieces exhibited in this place. Cable car – Teleférico
It is a gondola lift, running from the edge of the city up to the Pichincha Volcano. It rises from 9700 ft. to 13400 ft. The ascent takes about 10 minutes. The moor of Pichincha volcano offers a spectacular view of the whole city of Quito. National Museum of Ecuador - Museo Nacional
Founded in 1969 by the Central Bank of Ecuador. Nearly 1500 pieces from pre-Inca to current day are in the permanent exhibit and presented chronologically. The museum strives to document the history of Ecuador beginning with the first inhabitants up to current day. There are five rooms to highlight the artifacts, art, and exhibits of each era. Yaku, Water Museum / Museo del Agua
Yaku, that means water in quichua, is a contemporary museum with exhibits highlighting the scientific & social significance of water.
